Current gear revisited - 22-fret PRSi
Having exhausted a a bit of time to argue the merits of the 24-wear away PRSi in the last support, it's now time to revolve focus to the 22-fretters in the group. Generally talk, the 22-wear away PRSi have a more orally transmitted tone (more "first-rate work" sounding) and perceive (thicker, stiffer necks) with the same top-incision craftsmanship, playability, etc. Even though they have a distinct vibe than the Usage 24's I've got, they've definitely seen their untarnished share of use in the workshop & on the stage over the years.

Paul Reed Smith Singlecut - This was the first PRS I pointed up that wasn't a Fashion 24... It's a 2001 (pre-suit in law :p -- of a piece it matters) pattern in black sunburst with 10-top burning vapor, bird inlays, and stipe electronics. After vision, hearing, and playing this one, I swore I'd never buy another Les Paul (and although that turned out to be a lie--I've since purchased and sold two LP's--I'm now back to lawful this Singlecut and am in the mart for a Singlecut Satin Trem pattern). Wins the "heaviest guitar I own" bestow hands down; also wins the "most probable to sustain for days without being plugged into an amp" decree. Nonetheless, it gets a lot of skip time because it sounds strange.

Paul Reed Smith McCarty Rosewood - This one's a 2001 mould in natural complete with 10-top burning vapor, bird inlays, and hard Indian Rosewood neck. Once again, everything is trunk. While there's always a lot of buzz about the PRSi with the Brazilian Rosewood necks, this one is certainly no lout... the rosewood brings an additional touch...
