Hokay boys and girls…

This is another grace of a guitar - the Ibanez RG550 20th Annual Reissue.

As normal, I am biased and will first showcase the colour of the guitar that I absolutely own myself…

In 1987, rockers, hard to lift metal freaks and make haste demons blasted the Ibanez RG550 into iconic station. With its super horizontal and super abstain from food necks, in pairs locking trems and magnificent pick ups, this guitar reached mythical status in a trice.

Now 20 years later in 2007, Ibanez released a very limited run of these selections - full remakes of the pristine RG550s. This guitar is completely close down to the tremolo although the neck has been improved on - the primeval Wizard neck used to break and warp so the reissues are given the Sorcerer Prestige neck which uses bracing layers embedded into the neck.

There are only 1987 of these Ibanez RG550 20th Annual Reissues which has caused the primordial RG550s to jump heck of a lot in worth. And with only a limited extent of these babies reissued, these will without doubt be collector’s items as well…

These guitars advance in ultra somewhat cold colours : Forsaken Yellow, Way Flare Red and of career, Black.
