Well having been sold on an Genz Benz Dark Pearl All Rank A Tube amp, I open the door to I have been hooked on the large sound that comes from rigorous warm tubes.  I was in the minstrelsy store one day and found out that Fender had reissued some of its old amps with a new twist. I dearly delight in my Black Margarite, but she weighs a bit and is  also a bit much for the bedroom workshop. That being said I was on the lookout for a smaller amp that I could romp in my small workshop and also easily bear to small habit/jam sessions. I tried the Super Bite XD and found it was exactly what I was looking for.  At a road price of $299, abiding-place it went with me after a ordeal drive at the treasure.

The basic specs on it are:

15 Watts of cogency thru a Fender 10″ prolocutor, Tube and Digital Modeling preamps using 12AX7A tubes, pipe power amp  part using two 6V6 tubs (Rank AB), and on board digital goods.

The amp has two channels, the first conduit tuned to entire like a exquisite clean Fender Inky face amp using the 12AX7A hollow cylinder for the preamp part and the 6V6’s for the ableness amp. The second conduit using Fenders Digital Amp Modeling for the preamp (bypassing the 12AX7A pipe) and uses the 6V6 tubes for the capability amp. The two channels then portion the same tone controls and personal estate.

I would have to say that for 95% of my playing the first canal hits the speckle. It has great traditive Fender tube sounds, accurate and clean and jangly.  There is rightful a plain old turn knob, no increase, just unstained tone. At sink volumes it has that rigorous clean sound, but crank up the whirl and out comes a exquisite growly hollow cylinder overdrive. Back off your have a fling at at this volume and it cleans up correct, dig in for the good matter as needed.

The next to the first channel, with its digital modeling is perfectly fun to play with. The amp models drop into some basic groups: Fender Tweed, Fender Blackface, British (peruse Vox AC30 and Marshall), Fender Hot Rod, Metal, Jazz, and Acoustic. Other then the Jazz and Acoustic which lawful have one setting, the other models have 3 separate spins on each, ranging from unstained to dirty and in between. This channels input portion has a Gain and Whirl so you can vary the twist and grind substance.
