A Fender Mustang is strung by wrapping around the tailpiece. Take rise by inserting the strings into the tailpiece on the span with a bridge side. Next, the strings are wrapped around the underside of the tailpiece and then they go over the build a bridge over. If you don't string the guitar correctly at this sharp end the tremolo will not act correctly. It will be too low on the material substance and the guitar will go out of tune very easily.

The Mustang's tremolo arm should be equidistant throughout to the guitar's strings. However, some family prefer to have the tremolo arm angled absent from the body so that they may clutch it better while playing. This is a private playing priority so don't be afraid to ordeal with this part of the setup. You may dispose the tremolo arm divergence by raising or threatening the tail scrap of the guitar. Note that the arm will be more equidistant throughout if the bridge is set of great altitude and it will angle off from the body if the span with a bridge is set low. To raise and bring down the tailpiece elevation and/or the bridge elevation you should use a .050 twelfth part of a foot allen wring. 

Fender specifications say that a Mustang should have a line height of 3/64 of an twelfth part of a foot on the treble E and 5/64's of an twelfth part of a foot on the bass E side. You can standard this with feeler gauges which you can find at most automotive and hardware supplies. The neck comfort should be .012 inches on all strings at the seventh fray. While you might be able to get a drop action, it is wholly tricky to depress it any further without having 'gall out' problems, specifically during bends. Some have gotten advantageous results by replacing the vintage diction frets with jumbo frets from what I've heard but don't do this to a vintage utensil please.

Another thing to see through about the Fender Mustang setup is that some have a shim in the neck pouch. Guitars that have this will typically have chafe out problems above the 12th rub. If your guitar has this problem, bar with a professional guitar technician or Luither in your sphere.
