Fender Duosonic Reissue
While the standard work Duosonic was discontinued in 1969, it did reemerge in short in the 1990's as a reissue. The Fender Sweet-sounding Instrument Incorporated body (FMIC) resolute to recreate their learner series guitars in their newly constructed Mexican facilities in 1993.
The reissue Fender Duosonic was shut up to the original long delayed 1950's/in season 1960's models. The material part, which was either alder or poplar depending on what was to be availed of, was available in hoar, black or sunburst. The fingerboard was maple. The pickups were entirely similar to the Tex-Mex pickups used on seasonable Mexican made (MIM) models. They bring into view a brasher whole than the vintage pickups.
These reissue Duo-sonics weren't entirely as good as the primitive due to the typical take away from cutting in today's guitar manufacturing train. Since they were made in the newly opened Mexican residence of factors they often suffered from manufacturing errata just analogous their full sized cousins. However, this varies from guitar to guitar. The most public problems included bad wiring, improperly cut and/or placed nuts and ragged fret operate. A decent guitar technician can easily fix these problems though.
The MIM reissue Duosonic guitar was discontinued in 1997. It was replaced in the Fender streak-up by a Chinese made archetype issued under the Squier name in 1998. This type was almost identical to the Mexican made prototype although there tended to be more attribute problems associated with it. It often sold for about $100 new in supplies at the time. This lection of the Duosonic was discontinued in long delayed 1999 but stayed in the dispensation pipeline for a while in the sequel.
These reissues are a big way to get your hands on a learner, 3/4 dish, style guitar very inexpensively. This is immense for someone who doesn't deficiency to lay down 4 figures for a vintage Duosonic. Often you can find a reissue Duosonic for about $100, sometimes even less for the Squier Duosonic pattern.
